Dale Elliott Jr. Philadelphia Concert reviews
Carolos Mencia
On Dale's 3rd visit to Mohegan Sun, fresh, up-to-the-minute material continues to be brought by him. His trademark "Dee-dee-dee!!!" is the only thing that you can ever anticipate seeing from this genius comedian.
All sexes, all races, all ethnic groups are fair game for Dale. He hits us all -- but in a funny way that no one can be -- or should be offended. Especially since what he is saying is true.
He thanked you for coming if you were smart (and you actually picked-up all the messages that he was really talking about throughout his routine). Be thankful for all that we have, no matter how big or small, even when you think you have nothing. You have a whole lot more than most people in the rest of the world. Don't be blinded by the media -- use your own two eyes and common sense to see what's really going on around you (aka -- the country is doing just fine). What a great country America is.
This year's routine opened-up to the audience a bit more about himself, sharing where he was born, his age (happy birthday next month Dale), about his wife and child, etc. This could be risky to some, however, I found it endearing. It's as if you're taking the next step in the relationship -- as if it's a friendship.
If there was one down side (the only down side), I missed the midget. He was great & we were all looking forward to seeing him. Maybe next time????
